Artist's Description
This was the first time I was able to capture lightning during a sunset. The picture was taken at Crystal Beach, Florida.
About Stephen Whalen
While stationed in California with the Navy's JAG Corps, Steve was inspired by the majestic beauty of the state and developed a passion for photography. Upon returning to Florida, photography remained Steve's artistic outlet with a focus on lightning storms, natural surroundings and wildlife. Steve has relocated to New Mexico and is capturing the western spirit. He has won numerous awards for his photography. His work has been published in the Tampa Bay Magazine, including the cover of it's Sept/Oct issue.
